What You’ll Do:
The IT Manager leads the analysis, design, development, implementation, and documentation of the organization’s information systems. This role provides leadership for IT projects, guiding systems through planning, configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. The IT Manager evaluates and recommends software solutions and leads their successful implementation across the organization.

The IT Manager ensures reliable and secure IT operations by providing strategic direction, system maintenance, troubleshooting, and user support. This position works closely with the Management Team to develop IT strategies, support enterprise growth, improve operational efficiency, and align technology initiatives with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

End‑User Support & Service Management

  • Assist end-users with daytoday technical issues and requests.
  • Record and document issues in the ticketing system; drive timely resolution and rootcause fixes.
  • Provide clear, proactive communication with stakeholders to understand requirements and set expectations.

Systems Design & Delivery

  • Design efficient IT systems aligned to business needs and technology standards.
  • Coordinate internal/external developers and vendors to build, implement, and support solutions.
  • Gather feedback from end users and continuously improve performance and usability.

Projects & Platform Ownership

  • Plan and oversee upgrades, hardware/software deployments, and migrations (workstations, servers, M365 apps).
  • Create and implement a plan to keep Moore’s IT equipment, computers, and servers up to date.
  • Create and oversee budgets for IT equipment and services; manage licenses and renewals.

Security Operations

  • Monitor computer networks for security issues; investigate breaches and security incidents.
  • Install and operate security measures (firewalls, email security, data encryption) to protect systems and information.
  • Document security breaches, assess impact, and drive remediation and lessons learned.
  • Develop companywide IT security best practices; research enhancements and recommend to management.

Enablement & Training

  • Provide advice and technical training for users and power users.
  • Keep abreast of technology trends; evaluate and introduce tools that improve reliability and productivity.

    • Microsoft & Identity
      • Microsoft 365 tenant administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive)
      • SharePoint site structure, permissions, retention, and external sharing
      • Active Directory (on-prem) and Entra ID (Azure AD), Group Policy, SSO, MFA
    • Infrastructure & Endpoints
      • Windows 11 and Windows Server (AD DS, DNS/DHCP, Print Services)
      • VMware ESXi/vSphere
      • Synology NAS, backups, data archiving, and disaster recovery
    • Networking & Connectivity
      • Fortinet/FortiGate firewall and VPN administration
      • Starlink deployment, management, and failover connectivity
    • Security & Monitoring
      • Darktrace/Email administration
      • NinjaOne RMM for monitoring, automation, and patching
    • Business & Physical Systems
      • Construction ERP/accounting platforms (ComputerEase or Viewpoint)
      • Door access systems and security system administration

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience leading IT operations across hybrid (onprem + cloud) environments.
  • Handson proficiency with the technologies listed above (Microsoft 365, SharePoint/OneDrive, AD/Entra ID, Windows Server/11, VMware ESXi, Synology, Fortinet/FortiGate, Darktrace/Email, NinjaOne RMM, Starlink).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across network, endpoint, and application layers; comfort with ticket and change management.
  • Experience planning and delivering upgrades/migrations; ability to coordinate crossfunctional stakeholders and vendors.
  • Proven track record implementing security controls, investigating incidents, and documenting outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience with Starlink from initial setup through account maintenance.
  • Ability to administer door access systems and maintain security protocols.
  • Knowledge of physical and digital security systems.
  • Experience implementing data archiving strategies and disaster recovery plans.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ComputerEase or Viewpoint administration in a construction industry context.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft (AZ104/MD102), Fortinet NSE, VMware (VCP), CompTIA Security+/Network+.
  • Scripting/automation with PowerShell or RMM platforms.
